The current nursing home system is overwhelming to newcomers
who are anxious about their loved ones' welfare. But, there is an

Having worked as a mental health consultant in a nursing home I
know what is ignored by the nursing home medical team. I can
explain how flawed mental health care is for the geriatric

Laws attempt to handle these inequities but we would be foolish to
rely on governmental policy. It will be up to you, the family
members. You can do it with the right approach and a well thought
